With my first month of subscription came a makeover for Aylin! Let's see, taller, paler skin, new hair style and color, new tail shape, new eye color... oh yeah, and bigger boobs. :x

My first 50 was actually Alchemist! First off, this is a big accomplishment for me since I never once got a craft to cap in FFXI (WoW doesn't count, crafting there is ridiculously easy). I haven't really found much use for it, sadly, other than melding a book or two for myself on the way to 50 Arcanist, or making some books/wands for FC mates. Maybe eventually it'll be more useful?
Not long after Alchemist dinged, I achieved the same on Arcanist! I actually dinged on Summoner, as it was easier to AoE and get higher ratings in FATEs for me than it was on Scholar. However, all my points have gone into mind, and I'm pretty much playing Scholar exclusively now.

If you haven't unlocked/played/finished the storyline for Scholar, you should. I promise you will never look at Wanderer's Palace the same again...
Somewhere in there was Halloween. The quests were cute, but now these ghost costumes are clogging up valuable space on my retainers. :x
I also blitzed through the FFXIII: Lightning Returns promo quests. They were mildly interesting, but honestly I didn't even make it 3 hours in on the first FFXIII. OH well, at least I got some cute gear to use on my lowbies all the melee classes I haven't leveled past 1 yet!

That's really the basic rundown of what's been going on. I've been working on my relic, but have been hitting my head repeatedly against the wall that is Titan. I'm hoping my FC will help me out (especially since I've upgraded some gear now and have quite a bit more HP), but we'll see. I really want my spiffy book. :x
I'm also working on leveling Culinarian, but I hit a wall with leves and iron acorns. So... now I'm trying to blitz Botanist to 40 so I can just save some money and collect them myself. In the end, hopefully I can use Botanist to actually *make* some money as well, since I'm completely horrible with it in MMO's. :x
I will try to update a little more regularly than I have, and you know as soon as I get my hands on my Omnilex, there will be an update!!

ReplyDeleteI think I used to run endgame with a couple of guilds you were affiliated with back on fenrir during the ffxi days. Long story short, some of my rl friends may finally be pulling me back into the ff universe with ffxiv, and I was curious if you knew if any of the old scl/lagsave/magitek peeps were still active (that and this is a fun alternative to my research). :p
I'm pretty sure the majority of Magitek/SCL people are on Excalibur. I know there's a Magitek Free Company run by Magitek peoples, and there's other past Magitek people on there as well. There's quite a few of them active on Excalibur to my knowledge, actually!
ReplyDeleteAh, well it is good to hear that so many have returned to ffxiv. I always enjoyed dynamis and exping with them. I think that currently most of my friends reside on diablos, but that may be for the best. Most of them are not that into MMO's, so I could potentially newb it up with them and then server transfer to Excalibur when they get bored of the game.
DeleteBy chance, do you know if server assignment is on the account level, or is it possible to create multiple characters and assign them to multiple servers?
With the 14.99/mo sub you can have up to 8 characters total, on any servers. There is a fee if you want to transfer a character from one server to another, however. I believe you're also limited by whether that server is locked down to new character accounts, as well.
